The EVA Shelf brings a playful burst of colour into the domestic landscape. Developed alongside the EVA Light, the project explores the sculptural potential of EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate), a dense, rubbery foam known for its stretch, softness, and vibrant hues.
Typically used in flat forms, EVA is common in the footwear industry, particularly for outsoles. Here, it’s pushed into three dimensions, transforming a utilitarian material into expressive, functional design.
Inspired by the visual language of anechoic chambers, the shelf features stacked wing-shaped blocks of EVA foam in bold, saturated colours. The layered structure allows small items to be gently clamped between the ridges, while the material’s density supports larger objects on flat surfaces.
At once tactile, flexible, and visually striking, the EVA Shelf redefines how materials can shape everyday storage.
