Columns are sculptural seating elements crafted from dense, colourful foam. Created for the Favoris exhibition and auction hosted by French design company Moustache during Paris Design Week, the project was conceived to showcase bold, original pieces that bring uniqueness to interior spaces.
The material choice was intentional: foam, with its vibrant palette and tactile softness, is rarely used in furniture design, yet offers both comfort and expressive potential. Inspiration emerged through an intuitive process of model-making and material exploration.
Foam profiles were assembled into long hexagonal columns, then cut and reconfigured into rhythmic, geometric compositions. The resulting pieces are playful yet functional domestic sculptures that invite use while adding colour and form to a space.
